Finally - I'm back. And I'm more special than ever.

I'm going to try to get my website up and running again. I don't imagine anybody's so much as looked at this blog in a couple of years. Which is understandable, as I haven't posted anything in a couple of years.

But come Hell or High Water (where did THAT phrase come from?), I'm going to get my online presence back up.

Yay. Go me.

Speaking of which, GO SPURS!!! I think nobody told them that this was an even-numbered year. I just hope nobody tells them before they play the New Orleans Hornets.

I now leave you with my new favorite quote. It's by Douglas Adams, and it speaks so eloquently to our modern political situation.

"On its world, the people are people. The leaders are lizards. The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford. "It is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them," said Ford. "They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they vote in more or less approximates to the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards?"
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Aurthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard," said Ford, "the wrong lizard might get in."

Well, on that note, I leave you to next time.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!
